Instagram TikTok death clock

During the last presidential administration, they decided to ban TikTok. People are generally bad at planning for things, and it seems like most people think the government isn’t going to go through with this ban (who knows, maybe they won’t). Recently, an appeals court struck down a request to lift the ban. The clock runs out on January 19th, so it seems like we are running out of time.

This got me thinking about other players who would benefit if TikTok were shuttered. What if a “death clock” in Instagram showed how much time remains before TikTok closes its doors?

This is wayyyyyy to spiteful for Instagram to ever implement, but it would serve as a strong reminder and incentive to start creating Reels as a contingency plan. I post on most social networks (but not much on TikTok), but I do think people should start to prepare themselves for the worst-case scenario.
