iOS Hide Notifications Within Apps

Now you see me, now you don't

Every day is a battle to achieve inbox zero. Seriously, I get a flurry of notifications throughout every business day. Thankfully, as we’ve matured and started to partner with more large companies and fewer early-stage startups (and improved our operations) I’m starting to get fewer urgent pings on weekends, which has been very beneficial to my overall mental wellbeing.

However, I know many people just… don’t clear notifications on their phone regularly. Several of my friends have hundreds of unread texts and thousands of unread emails. I know this is scientifically proven to be anxiety-inducing.

This got me thinking… what if there was a way to “clear” notifications by getting them off your home screen and burying them within different apps? I can imagine an experience where Apple Intelligence detects that you have an insane number of notifications and opts to dump them in an app like Instagram, deep within the settings screens.

It would be insanely frustrating if you didn’t have context for where the notifications were placed. However, if you weren’t clearing them, maybe you don’t care anyway.
