iOS minimum call time

When I started writing today’s newsletter I was going to group myself with twenty-somethings. I forgot I’m 30. It’s officially, I can’t just lump myself in with “young people” anymore. The mere fact that I say things like “young people” tells you everything you need to know.

Anyways, I was going to make this association and talk about phone calls. I spend more time on the phone than some people, but less than the average customer service representative.

This got me thinking about all of the “quick calls” I make. It’s extremely common for me to sync with business partners or team members to get alignment on something on a call rather than writing the Magna Carta in Slack.

But what if there was a user-specified feature where you had to stay on the line for a certain amount of time? This would 100% get abused by family members, needy friends, and romantic partners. However, maybe it’d be good for society to collectively loosen up and chat a bit more. I’m not sure.
