LinkedIn guess their salary

Happy Thursday! Can’t believe the first work week of the new year is almost done. Time waits for no one.
For many, the new year marks new beginnings. For some, it marks the start of a new chapter in their career. LinkedIn has long been a place for people to celebrate personal victories and new jobs.
On an unrelated note, society has been pushing for greater transparency around salary and compensation. This has manifested in people sharing their compensation publicly as well as some states requiring people to disclose how much a role pays.
This makes me wonder… what if there was a way for people to guess someone’s salary when they change jobs? You could also provide a backdoor for nosy people with cash to burn where they could pay a small fee to see the actual number.
The biggest issue with this (other than it being an insane feature) is that people don’t currently upload their salary to LinkedIn. This is limited to platforms like levels.fyi, job boards, or Glassdoor, which more explicitly focus on compensation.
I’m not sure this would be a helpful feature, but it’d be entertaining.
