Netflix minimum required IQ

Ratings for intellectual maturity too

I tend to spend my time watching more intense, dramatic, high-production television shows like The Sopranos, Mad Men, or more recently, The Bear. However, at times real life is so stressful that it can be fun to unwind and watch something a bit less challenging.

However, a constant content diet of such vapid content can be uniquely draining for me. I found this particularly true of Love is Blind. Typically when I watch these types of shows I am disinterested but eventually, the people on the show behave so absurdly that I start making excessive commentary and at times yell at my TV.

All that said, it’s a less intellectually stimulating show. What if there was a way to quantify this similar to ratings like TV-MA? Instead of simply rating for things like gore or adult situations, you could grade the show based on a minimum IQ level required to understand the show.

To facilitate this, a new governing body similar to the MPAA would need to be stood up and I bet judging this would be very, very subjective. However, it would be entertaining to see people try and codify content this way.
