Watch the way it's meant to be watched

I’m watching a show right now set in the early 2000s, and they keep mentioning TiVo. If you’re too young to remember, TiVo allowed people to record and watch shows later. This felt like a technological miracle at the time. It's crazy to think that now people expect to be able to watch anything at any time on any device. We have never had easier, faster access to content.
The interesting byproduct of these changes are a shift in how we consume content. In the era of prestige television, shows were engineered to be an IV drip of suspense, emotion, etc. It’s different when you can just slam through 10 episodes in a night. Even worse, if you want to you can start at a different point in the story (though this is likely mostly used for people who have switched from another platform, aren’t logged in on this account, or are looking for a specific episode).
What if, to keep a bit more suspense and control, Netflix only allowed you to watch shows chronologically and didn’t show the episode descriptions? As someone who does not like spoilers, I would love a feature like this. Yes, you’d need to add some sort of “I’ve seen it before” button, but it could be a great addition.
