Preview Your Date with AR

Happy Wednesday!

Today we have a mashup of AR scanning tech and dating.

What if you could see a preview of your date at home before you go out?

First, we would all need full body scans to create these renders. I’ve done one of these before with my phone and it’s less difficult than you would think to get at least a crude model made.

Suffice it to say it is possible.

The onboarding screen was largely pulled from the way Target handles their AR scanning onboarding (did you know their app had that?). Other apps like Google and Amazon let you preview things from furniture to animals in your home. I had a lot of fun putting mountain lions and lemurs in my office last night. Technology truly is amazing.

This design takes the idea of commoditizing people literally, but dating apps already do this to some extent?

Regardless, this was fun to make. Mad props to my friend Josh for the concept.
