Set voice note playback speed
Slow down there pal

For the longest time, I was resistant to voice notes. It didn’t make sense to me that someone would just yap into their phone and think that’s a viable alternative to sending a text message. However, I’ve changed my tune. There’s something about hearing someone’s voice that provides clarity (if you’re articulate) and can de-escalate situations better than trying to write a super long response to something.
However, listening to rambling voice notes can be cumbersome. You just want someone to get to the point, but you need to listen to the entire thing (sometimes) to understand the intent.
This got me thinking… what if there was a feature where you could set the playback speed when sending a voice note to someone? I know I tend to talk slowly, so being able to ramp up the speed for my listeners would be clutch.
In a perfect world, these controls would be in the hands of the recipient, but I like the idea of someone who already talks super fast sending messages that are sped up to the point where they’re unlistenable.
I do feel like some permutation of this should exist to make voice notes more efficient, but I'm not sure it would ever ship.
