Slack with simple text
Translate to a 5th grade reading level

When you are in the workforce for a while, you get used to using corporate jargon. Circling back, EOD, deliverables, syncs, and so many acronyms. I thankfully have unlearned a fair amount of jargon in the process of building my own company, but the point still stands that work often uses overly complex language.
This got me thinking about tools like Slack. What if there were a way to use AI so that the language in messages was auto-translated for simplicity? Rather than verbose threads, you could get the simplest version of whatever it is someone’s trying to say.
It’s doubtful a platform for work communication would use this unsolicited because a fair amount of context gets lost. Then again, some people use big words to try and sound smart. Often, when writing something, I realize that my first pass contains a fair amount of unnecessary language, which I then try to whittle down. Still, a feature like this could be fun as an opt-in experience.
