Slackbot helps your fire people
Programmatically detect inefficiency
I’ve used Slack every day for about 7 years now. It’s not a long time in the grand scheme of things, but it makes me feel a bit old.
One thing I love about Slack is its bot. This feature can help you schedule reminders, leave channels you don’t regularly visit, and so much more. It’s a big time saver for me.
Sometimes it seems like this lil bot knows all. If this is the case, what if it was to take a more aggressive role in the day-to-day of a manager? It could use a screen-tracking integration plus data collected from internal conversations to gather sentiment around an employee and then provide recommendations to fire them.
On paper this feature is insane. However, the longer I look at it the more I realize it’s not impossible to implement. This is a pretty dystopian way of working, but I could see some companies implementing something like this.
Have a friend who’d get fired if this was a thing?
