Southwest Alcoholic Beverage Ban

Fly the sober skies

I’m pretty thankful to not have to fly for the next month and a half. Travel can be fun, but getting there is often a bit of a grueling experience.

This is at times exacerbated by our fellow travelers. Case in point, is the lawsuit being leveled against Delta Airlines for an inebriated passenger and the actions they perpetrated toward other people on board.

Flight attendants typically do a decent job of ensuring passengers imbibe responsibly. However, this is not always the case. For the times when we desperately need people to not get hammered on a plane, I have a solution.

A feature to ban all alcoholic drink consumption when in flight. This could be enforced through breathalyzer tests administered at random.

For some, this would be a welcome break from the current state of affairs. For others, it would be a nightmare. I haven’t had enough adverse experiences to care. It would be wild if someone tried to implement this on a major airline though.
