Spotify limit for repeat streaming
I'd be cooked tbh

At the start of my career, I listened to music almost constantly during work hours. Since my day-to-day primarily consisted of designing logos, websites, and apps, my mind focused on functionality, user experience, and visual aesthetics. It’s hard work, but I could give some attention to a song.
In the last few years, I’ve shifted to the point where I primarily work in silence. Most of my job now is communication, which requires a completely different set of skills. It’s not a bad thing, but it’s sad sometimes thinking about how I don’t find “new” bands often.
When I need to, as the youths say, “lock in”, I usually either put on noise-canceling headphones or play a few songs on repeat. It becomes a texture more than a song.
This got me thinking about how easy it is to over-index on one song, listen to it too much, and then get sick of it. What if there was a feature on Spotify that prohibited you from listening to one song too much? Better yet, what if this feature was targeted at specific age demographics? You can imagine Mr. Brightside being blocked for millennials everywhere.
Given the reaction when I shared this idea with a few friends yesterday, I don’t think this concept would be very popular if it got shipped.
