Starbucks automate repeat orders

Most designers seem to be fanatical about their coffee. They have fancy espresso machines, they do pour-overs, or they use expensive beans. I drink Starbucks or Red Bull. Yes, I used to have a neighborhood shop that was great but they closed and I’m not obsessed enough to chase something nicer.

There’s a Starbucks extremely close to my house (which I guess is true for most Americans) so I end up getting coffee there a lot. Sometimes I get it black but often I get a caramel macchiato. Looking at it now I’m realizing $6 a lot is insane for what you get. Oh well.

Given how often I order at a similar cadence, I started wondering… what if you could just subscribe and save? It could automatically surface this option at checkout once you’ve made enough orders within a certain time window (117 is probably a bit too much tbf).

Drinking this much coffee is kinda unhinged but this idea isn’t bad.
