Ticketmaster Jumbotron Protection
A little privacy would be nice

Last week, the internet rallied around a moment. A CEO of a little-known workflow management software company made history. He was at a Coldplay concert, enjoying time with a loved one. The problem? The loved one wasn’t his wife. The bigger problem? They were featured on the Jumbotron and freaked out, causing everyone to ask, “Who is that guy?”
It became clear relatively quickly that the CEO of Astronomer was at the concert with Astronomer’s HR Chief, who is, in fact, not his wife. Twitter and other social apps quickly realized the affair, and it spread like wildfire. Brands piled on, and now I am too.
What if there were an option when buying tickets to exclude yourself from a Jumbotron feature? I know for a fact Andy would have purchased this, though I doubt he’ll be going to another Coldplay concert anytime soon.
This whole ordeal is fascinating to me. If you would simply not cheat on your wife, this wouldn’t be a problem. If that simple behavior proves too difficult to follow, then it may not be prudent to go to a concert where your face can be broadcast to the world.
Given that the Astronomer CEO has gone silent since the incident, I think his future at the company is… not bright.
