Ticketmaster sing to skip the line

WHEN I WAS, A YOUNG BOY, MY FATHER, TOOK ME INTO THE CI–

Yesterday, a seismic event in the music industry occurred. My fellow millennials, My Chemical Romance is going back on tour. They are going to play the entire Black Parade album from start to finish, potentially in a city near you.

As someone who saw MCR back when they played The Forum in LA, I am very, very excited. However, given the seismic nature of this event, I’m emotionally prepared to pass on tickets, as I assume they’ll cost like a million dollars.

I went to the Ticketmaster site to see what was happening with the pre-sale of this concert. I was met with a countdown clock showing me that tickets would indeed become available on the 15th.

This got me thinking, what if there was a way for true fans to skip the line? You can imagine a feature where you can skip to the front of a line if you can sing the entire set (or album) from memory. This would reward the truly engaged fans with 1) a fun opportunity to flex their obsession with an artist and 2) a way to get ahead of poser fans.

If you need on Friday at 10am, you know where to find me.
