Tinder Bald Prediction
Is it a matter of if or when?
I’m not sure why, but I’m really on a hot streak with Tinder designs right now. Even though I haven’t used the app in years I keep coming up with more ideas. Hopefully, something will break me out of this cycle soon, but today is not that day I guess.
If you don’t know me or haven’t seen my profile picture, I’m bald. When I was 17 I started noticing my hairline was thinning. After this, I rapidly went through different stages of grief. Using Rogaine while you’re in high school has a way of humbling you, and ultimately when I went to college I decided to shave my head during my freshman year. To date, I’ve saved untold thousands on hair care products.
Being bald is also a nice filter when you’re dating. It immediately writes off superficial people who really think having hair is important. It also helps you understand who thinks bald guys are attractive (hint, if you own it, people tend to love it).
That said, when you’re dating online, you can necessarily know if someone is going to have their luscious locks of hair forever. What if you could though? You can imagine a 23&Me integration with Tinder that gives you estimated odds on whether or not someone will go bald. This would absolutely destroy some people who would otherwise be seen as attractive, but maybe it’s better to know sooner rather than later.
