Tinder contingency plan

Apologies for the slightly delayed email today. Had a potential partnership that got delayed and I had to scramble to create a new idea this morning. The groove has officially been thrown off.

I was thinking about Tinder and how often expectations fail to meet reality when you connect with someone you met online. There are a million ways you can make your profile pictures look with face tuning, editing, and the AI features that now come out of the box on Android phones.

In addition to someone not meeting expectations, there’s a real concern they just… don’t show up for the date. You spend time and money getting ready for a big moment only to be disappointed by a no-show.

If you put in the work to look good, you deserve to spend quality time with someone. What if there was an option to get a replacement date on Tinder in case your actual date doesn’t show? Realistically, this feature would be hard to implement because people have such a hard time matching with one person, much less two. However, this could be a good angle for people who are desperately looking for dates…
