Tinder minimum height requirement

For the vertically challenged

The dating market is tough. I’m glad I’m not in it anymore.

A quick Google search informed me that 20-40% of couples meet online nowadays (very broad range, I know). Another quick Google search gave me further information: 76% of women feel more comfortable when dating a man who is taller than them. Wild.

As someone who is 6’6, I don’t think I fully realized how lucky I am to be a tall guy until I was off the market. Regardless, it’s becoming increasingly clear how important this dumb metric is for so many people.

Given this is something on many of our minds when trying to find a romantic partner, what if we made it a more prevalent part of the dating experience? Imagine if on Tinder you could even set a minimum height requirement.

In the short term, this would suck for people who aren’t tall. In the long term, I do wonder if it would be a helpful reality check for people with unrealistic expectations. Who’s to say though, maybe tall people would just dominate the dating scene even more.
