Tinder shared accounts

Get a little help from your parents

Dating is tough. Finding someone that you vibe with is a chore in and of itself. Finding someone that your family also likes is another challenge entirely, albeit a less important thing for some.

In recent years, parents sharing accounts with their children has become standard fare for apps like Cash App. You can add your teen to the app and help them get started with investing, using a debit card, and more. There’s obvious utility here, as it allows your kid to get a leg up and start investing early.

However, dating is another realm entirely. Many of us don’t want our parents involved in our romantic lives, at least until a certain point. However, many parents would be more than happy to help their children find the right life partner. This got me thinking… what if you could share an account with your adult child on Tinder? Parents could swipe on their kid’s behalf, and veto matches they believe to be questionable.

This would be a disaster for many, and a helpful feature for a select few. There’s probably some permutation of this that’s helpful, but there’s another where it’s simply an added layer of chaos.
