Tinder Super Dislike

I'm not interested in you... at all

With the proliferation of dating apps over the last few years, romantic relationships have become heavily commoditized. Instead of seeing a human being when looking at a profile, people often see just another “landing page” of a person you can request to get in touch with.

On the “liker” side of a dating app like Tinder, if you’ve sent out too many likes but gotten none back, you may feel like you’re doing something wrong. On the “recipient experience" side of the house, you’re likely inundated with matches.

Across both sides, showing when you are interested in someone is a very prominent feature. Tinder does all of this work to pair you with a specific person and tries to map your interests and criteria to someone else out there.

This got me thinking… what if it was possible to show when you are extremely disinterested in a person? Introducing “Tinder Super Dislike”. It’s an easy path to go above and beyond in letting someone know that they don’t have a chance with you. This feature, while funny, might be a powerful way to feed data into their underlying matching algorithm.

After all, what you list is as important as what you don’t like.
