Uber Eats all you can eat

For the perpetually hungry

Uber Eats and DoorDash are amazing, but I fight with every fiber of my being to avoid ordering with these apps regularly. I fight against it partially because it’s easy to get super lazy. Also, the fees they add on are insane. I tried picking up from an Indian spot by my house vs. DoorDash and saved like $25.

Part of the reason it’s so expensive is that drivers have to be in the right place at the right time to pick up your order. So what if a workaround to this was having a dedicated driver for a certain amount of time? You could imagine an “all-you-can-eat” feature where your driver will bring you as much food as you want from any restaurant.

The immediate question that comes to mind is how this is cost-effective for restaurants. If you’ve ever been to an “all-you-can-eat” Korean BBQ restaurant, you know that unless you finish the food you order, they will charge you full price. You could use the same model here. Unlimited food, but if you don’t finish it you have to pay full price.

I think this is one of those stupid-sounding ideas that with enough iterations could be turned into something viable, but I’d have to spend more time on it.
