Uber Eats meet your meat

Putting a face to a steak

Happy Friday all. The weekend is upon us.

I remember years ago watching a Portlandia episode where the main characters drive all the way from a restaurant out to the farm where they meet the chicken who produced the eggs on the menu. At the time it was funny, but it’s increasingly something people actually would do.

Uber Eats makes ordering food effortless, but what if they made it easier to see where your food comes from, literally?Introducing: Meet Your Meat.

You could see the name, location, and maybe favorite food of the food you’re about to eat. In some instances this would be quite insightful, but depressing in others. Likely you’d see a lot of cows and chickens with names like #92-84829 in pretty dire living conditions.
