Uber Eats Regret Reminder
Saving the world, one tummy ache at a time
Happy Friday all.
Maybe I make poor dietary choices or maybe I have a weak stomach (it's probably both). Regardless, there are countless times in the past where I've regretted eating something be it Flamin' Hot Doritos or that late-night carne asada burrito.
The worst part is it's never been easier to effortlessly order food with a few taps and have it at your doorstep in minutes. The consideration and intentionality before eating awful food just isn't there anymore.
With this is mind... what if there was A) a way to take notes about how a meal made you feel and B) a module during checkout to remind you of how great or terrible you felt last time you had $20 worth of Taco Bell?
My gut says (see what I did there) people would be less likely to order food which they might later regret. This isn't a blocker so it doesn't introduce friction, but it does encourage mindfulness.
Shoutout to another designer named Soren for suggesting this idea.
Some quick housekeeping. Some people have said this newsletter is starting to land in their promotions inbox rather than the main one. If this is happening to you, please star this email and drag it back into your main inbox.
This helps improve my deliverability and email lists health. Thank you 🖤
