Uber show average tip

I will have to Uber when I head to the airport to visit family this coming week. I’m looking forward to some time not glued to a screen, though transparently I’ve been locked in for so long I’m not sure what it will feel like to take time off. Oh well, it’ll be good for me.

How fast Uber and Lyft went from amazing emergent technologies to necessary evils is amazing. They are still powerful applications, but I feel like every Uber I get into is either dirty or smells weird.

That said, it seems like a tough job and I make a point to tip well. Some people don’t. This got me thinking, what if there was a feature where drivers could see your average tip when deciding whether or not to accept your ride request?

To be fair, there’s already a review/rating associated with your account, but I’d venture to guess that this would hurt more if drivers knew what to expect for compensation.

No way Uber ships this, as it would destroy their business (at least among bad tippers).
