United meet your seat mate

Happy Wednesday all (or as some like to call it "hump day").

If you've ever flown you know the experience can be pretty rough. Screaming babies, funny smells, turbulence, in-flight entertainment that doesn't work, and sitting next to weird people. It all adds up to a chaotic experience where social norms are at times thrown out the window.

As a 6'6 man I find flying to be especially painful.

I'm always playing a guessing game in terms of whether or not I'll have any leg room to spare. To that end... what if there was an option on United to "meet your seat mate"?

You could see basic info like height, weight, and even things that they're interested in. If you want to get in their good graces before the flight, you could buy them a little treat. On the other hand you could move them to a different seat.

I know many people would a premium to have this level of control over their flying experience, but suffice it to say there's no way a feature like this is getting shipped in the forseeable future.
