United option to make someone else board last

We all have our inner demons. For some reason, mine comes out when it’s time to board a plane. It’s not enough to be on the plane when we take off, there’s this weird twisted urge I have to be at the front of my boarding group.

I don’t think I’m alone here. When it’s time for boarding group 415 to get on the plane people turn feral. They’re on the sidelines eagerly awaiting the moment when they can pounce into action and sign they’re boarding pass. I get that you want to avoid gate-checking a bag, but it’s not that big of a deal (this is as much a reminder for myself as it is for others).

This got me thinking about the United app. What if there was an option to make someone else board last? There could be other punishments too, like revoking snacks, ejecting them from the plane, and more. Is this extremely petty? Yes. It is too insane for anyone to actually use? Yes.

I think this is one of those concepts that should never make it into the real world, as I could see it ruining travel for everyone.
