Vote to cancel Google Meet

Why is this even on my calendar?

It's finally Friday, the weekend is upon us.

I don't know about you, but thankfully my Friday's are usually pretty light on meetings. It's a welcome break from the typical barrage of meetings that occur earlier in the week.

Amidst all of these meetings I tend to ask myself, "Is this a meeting I need to go to? In fact, does anyone need to go to this meeting?"

For anyone who's watched The Office and worked in a corporate environment like... at all, the answer is immediate and strong. A lot of meetings feel pointless and crammed with way too many people.

So what if there was an option for invitees to "vote to cancel" a meeting? You could anonymize the response process and potentially even allow reasons for people to articulate why they don't think a meeting needs to happen.

I'm not certain but I believe this feature would be both popular and extremely controversial, especially for people who's jobs depend on facilitating and participating in a lot of pointless meetings.
