Wordle x Intuit Tax Refund

Hope your weekend is off to a great start. If it's anything like mine, you might be thinking about taxes. Or maybe you are ahead of me and have already thought about them. Unfortunately, I will likely spend a decent chunk of today trying to figure out the size of my home office and if my living room counts considering I have worked there a few times.

In some ways it has never been easier to do your taxes, but as we get older our financial situations become more complex and everything seems to tend towards chaos (just ask my accountant).

Anyways, I was thinking how murky your tax refund is.

Thankfully, it is a pleasant surprise for those who pay their taxes along the way. Given this process is often a net-positive for people, what if we turned it into a game?

Using the interaction patterns from Wordle to guess your refund could be a really interesting way to get people excited about their refund. However if you owe taxes this experience is just depressing. Since Wordle is owned by the NYT, it could be a fun one off update on tax day to guess the average tax return size or something.
